What kind of crushed material is suitable?
GRAINS AND SEEDS
Generally, all types of grain up to a certain grain size are suitable. The most common and easiest to use is oats without any prior treatment.
The grains of other cereals such as wheat, rye, spelt and ancient grains should be pre-treated accordingly. To do so, moisten them in a sieve and then leave them to dry for approximately 5 hours.
SPICES
Spices such as caraway, coriander, fennel, aniseed, cin- namon and sea salt can also be crushed if needed.
NOT SUITABLE FOR CRUSHING:
corn, rice and soya beans.
